Who we are
Outtakes is a collective of independent photographers in Singapore. This website helps you find, book and pay a photographer. Payments are processed by Stripe and Outtakes passes them on to the photographer. For any privacy question, email us at hello@outtakes.sg.
What we collect
- Client accounts: your name, email address, optional phone number and password (stored hashed, never in plain text), the photographers you save as favourites, and when you agreed to this policy. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google.
- Photographer profiles: the profile, photos, packages, prices, availability and WhatsApp or Telegram contact details each photographer enters. Photographers agree to publish these when they join.
- Contact button taps and profile views: we count which photographer was contacted, by which channel, from which page, and how many times a profile was viewed each day. We don't store your IP address with these. If you're signed in, a tap is linked to your account.
- Bookings: the package, date, time, location and add-ons you book, the messages you exchange with the photographer, and whether it was paid. Card and PayNow details go straight to Stripe; we never see or store them.
- Contact form: your name, email address, optional phone number and message.
- Sign-in security: while you're signed in, we keep your session with the IP address and browser it came from, and we count sign-in attempts per IP address to block password guessing.
- Cookies: only the session cookie that keeps you signed in. No advertising or tracking cookies. Photographers you recently viewed are remembered in your own browser only and never sent to us.
Why we use it
- To run your account, save your favourites and reset your password.
- To show photographers' profiles and contact details to people looking to hire them.
- To give photographers counts of views and contact taps, and to improve the site.
- To run bookings, take payments and pay photographers.
- To answer your enquiry.
- To keep the site secure and block spam and automated sign-ups.
We don't sell your personal data or use it for advertising.
Who can see it
- Anyone can see a live photographer profile, including its WhatsApp and Telegram contact details.
- Client details are seen only by you and Outtakes admins. Photographers can't see who saved or viewed them.
- A photographer you book sees your name, the booking and your messages, and once it's paid, your email and phone number so they can reach you on the day.
- When you tap WhatsApp or Telegram, you leave this site and share your details with the photographer through that app.
- We use service providers to run the site: Cloudflare (hosting, security checks and cookie-free visit statistics), Neon (database, Singapore region), Resend (email) and Stripe (payments). They process data only on our instructions.
How long we keep it
- Client accounts: until you delete your account.
- Photographer profiles: until the photographer asks us to remove them.
- Bookings: kept as payment records, including after a client account is closed on request.
- Enquiries: only as long as we need to reply and follow up.
- View and tap counts: kept as statistics. They don't identify you once your account is deleted.
See, correct or delete your data
Clients can change their details or delete their account at any time on the account page. Deleting your account removes your details and favourites. Photographers can edit their profile in their studio. For anything else, or to withdraw your consent, email hello@outtakes.sg and we'll respond within 30 days.

If we change this policy, we'll update this page.
